New in MultitrackStudio for iPad 5.1
- Guitar Amp improvements: Amp models are more accurate, all new factory presets, more accurate input level meter, Stack amp now has Channel Mix knob instead of 3 buttons, New "Chorus Stereo" and "Mid EQ" stompbox effects, Improved Chorus stompbox sound.
- Flac file support (requires iPadOS 16).
- MIDI-CI for Midi Out Device now also works with two MIDI 1.0 ports instead of a single bidirectional MIDI 2.0 USB device. You can swipe horizontally over the device selector box to pick the MIDI-CI Bidirectional Return. This, together with other improvements, means MultitrackStudio can now automatically fetch program and controller names from Korg synths which support MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange.
- External MIDI Instrument: Bank now appears as separate MSB and LSB numbers, just like the rest of the world.
- You can drop .syx files on a SysEx Editor.
- Patchmap files have option to prevent MultitrackStudio from sending Program Change messages to certain channels.
- Articulation controller editor shows per-note overrides in the background, so you have a complete overview.
- Add Click Track has an "Extract from track" option. You can record beats and then extract tempo from this track, so the tempo is organically evolving musicallly rather than fixed.
- Tempo Editor has Detach option, so you can change the tempo information without moving the notes.
- MultitrackStudio Instruments sound better.
- Rotor effect: Drive knob can boost a bit more, the overdrive sound sounds better.
- Audio recording level slider displays position as text.
- Fixed: Importing patchmaps using the Document Picker option didn't work.
- Fixed: Vocal Tuner needle didn't move as expected while transport was running. (Pro Extension)
- Fixed: MultitrackStudio Instruments: using sustain pedal to mute Orchestral Harp etc. didn't work.
